🔗 Share this article The Streaming Platform is Developing a Far Cry TV Series from the Producers of the Alien Series and the Comedy Hit. The most recent Far Cry game that players experienced was Far Cry 6, that starred Giancarlo Esposito as the bad guy, Antón, and debuted back in October 6, 2021. As a series, it is famous for delighting in chaos and insanity with similar glee, all while weaving captivating, ideologically themed tales. It’s no surprise that the network’s new order for a Far Cry seasonal program pulled in two visionaries whose creations have exemplified all of those qualities. Show Details Inspired by Ubisoft's popular video game franchise, the self-contained anthology series will be available on Hulu and be produced by FX Productions. The show will also follow the video games' format by featuring a fresh location and cast of characters in subsequent series. Creative Minds Rob Mac, mastermind of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the visionary behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will act as showrunners on the series through their companies, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be joined by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television. “FX has had outstanding collaborations with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a combined six series and 32 seasons of television, and we are thrilled that they are teaming up for Far Cry,” commented Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a announcement. “I have no doubt that they will present this story in a way that is innovative, gripping, and extremely entertaining. We also want to appreciate our collaborators at Ubisoft for trusting us with this cherished property.” Cast and Future Plans Mac will also appear in the show, but at the time of writing, we are unsure of what role that may be. Hawley's Alien: Earth was not long ago renewed for more episodes, with FX and Disney signing a new long-term contract with the showrunner. “Having the opportunity together with Noah Hawley is a goal achieved,” said Rob Mac. “Ubisoft has been remarkably supportive, placing faith in us with one of the most renowned video-game worlds ever created. And through it all, my FX partners constantly supports me with their steady trust and backing.” “What I love about the Far Cry game series is that it’s an anthology series. Every title is a variation of a theme, the same way each season of Fargo is a version on a premise,” explained Hawley. “To develop a big action show that can change from season to season, while always examining the core of people through this multifaceted and chaotic viewpoint, is a ultimate goal. I’m eager to partner with Rob and bring our common bold, ambitious sensibility to the screen.” A schedule for when we can expect the new Far Cry show has not been announced. The series will premiere on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus internationally.
